In the Old Testament, when the Israelites were moving through the wilderness, God's presence would come down in the form of a cloud and would dwell among the people. This is a picture of what Heaven is like. But instead of it being a cloud, it is God's Spirit that now comes down and dwells in us. We are the place where God dwells. God dwelling among us is heaven on earth because it means that the creator of the universe, our loving Father, is with us wherever we go. A lot of people have different thoughts on what heaven is like, but heaven is being with God and being close to God. This means that we can start living with heaven on earth while we are here on earth. We should be praying that God brings heaven to earth. Today, pray that you can experience God's Spirit in your life and therefore experience heaven on earth. Also pray that someone else in your life will experience the presence of God in their life.
