Setting Boundaries in Christian Courtshipနမူနာ
Day 2 - How to Set Boundaries
1. Communicate Clearly
Effective communication is key to setting boundaries. Both individuals should openly and honestly discuss their expectations, values, and limits. (Ephesians 4:29) "Do not let any unwholesome talk come out of your mouths, but only what is helpful for building others up according to their needs, that it may benefit those who listen."
2. Agree on Boundaries Together
Boundaries should be agreed upon mutually, respecting each other's comfort levels and beliefs. (Amos 3:3) "Do two walk together unless they have agreed to do so?"
3. Be Specific and Clear
Ensure that the boundaries set are clear, leaving no room for misinterpretation. (Matthew 5:37) "All you need to say is simply 'Yes' or 'No'; anything beyond this comes from the evil one."
4. Regularly Revisit and Adjust
As the relationship progresses, circumstances may change. It's important to regularly revisit and adjust boundaries as needed.(Proverbs 27:17) "As iron sharpens iron, so one person sharpens another."
