LifeLine: Experience the Power of PrayerSampel
A Secret to the Miraculous
As our journey comes to an end, I want you to know it’s important to keep our prayer progression aligned. Many times, people are praying for mountains to be moved—but if we don’t start with focusing on God and inviting Him to search our own hearts, we can end up speaking our own will and not God’s.
This is why it’s so important to follow the Progression of Prayer seen throughout God’s Word:
- Upward Prayer | Communion and Worship
- Inward Prayer | Consecration and Surrender
- Outward Prayer | Partnership and Confrontation
I also want to encourage you to pray with others. In fact, one of the greatest ways we engage with the life Jesus wants to give us and see the chain-breaking power of God released is when we come together in the prayer of agreement.
In Acts 12, we see one of Jesus’ closest friends and a vibrant leader of the church, the Apostle Peter, imprisoned. But the early church came together in agreement and engaged the greatest power source on earth… prayer! Verse 5 says, …constant prayer was offered to God for him (Peter) by the church. The result? Peter was literally delivered by an angel of the Lord through the prayers of God’s people. He walked right out of that prison cell!
Friends, the prayer of agreement leads to freedom! If you’re looking for a healthy community of believers to stand with in prayer and do life alongside, I want to invite you to join my weekly devotional email today! Every week, you’ll have the opportunity to engage with a vibrant community of believers all over the world, as well as access more faith-building resources.
As you engage with God’s word:
● What is God saying to you?
● What does it mean to you?
● What action step do you need to take?
After you reflect on these questions, bring everything to God in prayer.
