Parasha Minute: Genesis / BreisheetSampel
"Obedience Promises Blessings"
Avram (Abraham) was called by Adonai to be set apart and move to a land the Lord would specifically show. As followers in Yeshua, the mandate on our lives must be followed by obedience to God, even into the unknown. When Avram saw Kena'an (Canaan), the Lord appeared and said, "To your descendants I will give this land." This obedience despite uncertainty encouraged Adonai to validate His word. Then Avram set up a place of thanksgiving to Adonai for His promises--to make you a great nation; to bless you; to make your name great; for you to be a blessing; to bless those who bless you; to curse those who curse you and to bless all families of the earth by you. God has promised blessings waiting on acts of obedience. His guidance will show us how and to get out and go. Reflections / Prayer: Elohim, you have indicated your direction in my life. I want to be sensitive to Your timing and way. You are faithful and true. You will not leave or forsake me.
