My Tongue - More Than A Taster
The tongue, a member of the body, an organ of speech, is described by James in many ways, mostly as an unpleasant part of our character. Is there any hope of constraining our tongue? Is there any way, method, or technique to control our tongue? The scripture admonishes us to be filled with His Spirit. When we are full of His Spirit and speak in tongues, then we know God has control of this member of our body and can help us live the holy life He intended us to live.
Prayer: Lord, I am guilty of a tongue that has been used as an evil instrument. Please forgive me and fill my life with your Holy Spirit in order that I may bring words of life, purity, righteousness, and power to others. I pray the Holy Spirit control my heart, mind, and tongue to do Your Will. In Jesus’ Name, Amen.
