THE HOLY SPIRT

The Holy Spirit is the third person of the triune God. The Trinity is one of the most complex subjects found in Christianity. It is difficult for us to fathom one God who exists in three persons: God the Father, God the Son, and God the Holy Spirit. In ancient times God the Father spoke to His people through His prophets who humanity hated and killed. He then sent His son Jesus who came to Earth as fully God and fully man. Jesus fulfilled all the prophecies in the Old Testament concerning the Messiah and walked among humanity performing many miracles, preaching the good news of The Gospel. The religious leaders of that day hated Jesus and conspired against Him. The Jewish Leaders falsely accused Him, and the Roman Empire crucified Him. Yet three days later Jesus arose from His own grave, conquered death, and promised to send The Holy Spirit to His followers. He actually promised “it would be better for them if he left that they might receive the Holy Spirit” (John 16:7).
