The first 2 lines of our 3-line motto are so encouraging:

Do Your Best,

Let Jesus Do The Rest

Those 2 lines cover us in all situations – reminding us of the good we should do, but also of the protection and love we have from Jesus Christ Himself.

Even so, you will encounter situations where you might feel a bit unsure, insecure or afraid. For these situations, Jesus has wonderful words to remind us of His love & care…

First, don’t worry about anything – just do your best and trust Him for the rest:

Therefore I tell you, do not worry about your life, what you will eat or drink; or about your body, what you will wear. Is not life more than food, and the body more than clothes? Look at the birds of the air; they do not sow or reap or store away in barns, and yet your heavenly Father feeds them. Are you not much more valuable than they? Can any one of you by worrying add a single hour to your life? – Matthew 6:25-27

Second, even if it gets really bad, don’t be afraid:

Do not be afraid of those who kill the body but cannot kill the soul… Are not two sparrows sold for a penny? Yet not one of them will fall to the ground outside your Father’s care. And even the very hairs of your head are all numbered. So don’t be afraid; you are worth more than many sparrows.– Matthew 10:28-31

The Apostle Paul also comes with even more comforting words in what may be his most famous verse of all:

And we know that in all things God works for the good of those who love him, who have been called according to his purpose. – Romans 8:28

Knowing this, we can complete our 3-line motto as follows:

Do Your Best,

Let Jesus Do The Rest

and Don’t Be Stressed!

So what are the next steps for you?

1. Write these words down and post them on the doorpost of your home for you & your children to read each and every day.

2. Commit them to memory and apply them to your work and life around town.
