New Leaf: Turning the Pageनमुना
The Turning Point
Turning the page of a book says, I've read all that's on this page and it's time to move on to the next.
"Forgetting those things that are behind me, and I press forward to the things that are ahead."
It's time to make a turn in the right direction. 360 degree turns land you in the exact same spot. 180 degree turns land you in the opposite direction of where you were.
When I think about turning, I think about change. Nobody likes change right? I went through a season of God telling me it was time for a change. That particular change, was leaving my full-time job at the bank. I wrestled with the idea of that for months, until I finally caved. I decided Aug. 2nd, 2019, would be my last day on the job. I faced a lot of challenges in that season. But here we are, 5 years later, and God has been faithful to His promise.
One person that comes to mind when I think about change and wrestling with God, is Jacob. The introduction of Jacob, was as a trickster, deceiver, and a liar. But one encounter with God changed his whole trajectory, along with his name. Going from Jacob, the trickster; to Israel, which means "let God prevail."
As we talked about on Day 1, let God finish the good work, He started in you.
Prayer: Lord, I thank you for today. This is the day I turn over the reigns back to you; take control. I want to walk in Your will for my life. Amen
Action: Don't go back! Keep your mind stayed on God.

This 7-day devotional is inspired by Mike Teezy's brand new album, 'New Leaf'. Each day you'll be provided with stories from Mike's personal life, of when he had to make a change. Partnered with different characters from the Bible who also had to make the decision to change their ways.
