Week 4: Sharing the News

DAY 1 OF 3

The Gospel is the good news for the world that the one true God has fulfilled his past promises to seek and save the lost. Through his birth, life, death, and resurrection, Jesus the Savior brings forgiveness of our sins, transformation in the present, and hope for the future.

This truth is meant for everyone. But how can the world accept this Gospel invitation if they never hear it? How can they know what a fully transformed life looks like if they don’t see it lived out in front of them?

God has called each of us to play an active role in his kingdom. We are commanded to be doers and sharers of the Gospel.

However, the Bible is clear in explaining that even if we share the Gospel with everyone we come into contact with, we can’t expect everyone to immediately accept it as truth. This provocative message sounds foolish to the world, but to those who choose to believe, it is the wisdom and power of God to save.

As you read today, pay attention to how Paul defines the Gospel in his letter to the church at Corinth. Gaining a firm understanding of what you believe will create confidence as you begin to share it with others.
