As we have seen in the other Gospels, Jesus performs miracles to confirm his teachings are from God. Peter is so impressed by Jesus, he is convinced Jesus is God and that he is unworthy to be in his presence. Jesus responds by telling Peter to serve him.
You may sometimes feel you are unworthy of a relationship with Jesus. The answer isn’t to push Jesus away. The answer is to follow him more closely and serve him in greater ways.
