RELATIONSHIPS

Going through life can feel lonely at times. We often feel like people don't understand what we are going through and the things we struggle with. Maybe it’s because we’ve been hurt by others letting us down in the past. We build up walls in our lives, isolating us from the very people we should be letting in.

You need to understand that no matter how messed up life gets, and no matter how low you feel, you were made in the image of God. “You were created fearfully and wonderfully. You matter. You have meaning and purpose. And you are loved unconditionally”. - Lecrae

To live in that reality and to understand that truth isn't about being perfect. You don't even need to pretend to be. It's not about trying to fix yourself, and it's not about going through life alone either. We were built for relationships.

It's about being honest with yourself and saying “Maybe I don't have it all together”. We need to realize that we are weak and that we need each other. We need God. We need a community of people to keep us consistent and help us grow to be the person we have been created to be.

That's the beauty of having friends. That’s why it's crucial to surround yourself with genuine friends that are there to help you become who you are supposed to be.

The challenge for today is to find a friend that you can talk to and be honest about something you struggle with. Ask that person to pray with you. Take some time and pray for each other out loud.
