MAN IN CHRIST-- Free and Forgiven
"In whom we have redemption through his blood, the forgiveness of sins, according to the riches of his grace;" Ephesians 1:7 KJV
Redemption and forgiveness of sins is the reality of Men in Christ. God in Christ has fully redeemed those who have found their identity and life in Christ. Therefore, the Man in Christ is free and forgiven.
When we talk about being free and forgiven, we are not referring to something that can be lost. Our sins are not merely pardoned, they are totally forgotten as though they never happened. This is possible because of the blood of Jesus. Let us explore this a little. The blood of Jesus secured our redemption and forgiveness. Hebrews 9:12 reveals this:
"Neither by the blood of goats and calves, but by his own blood he entered in once into the holy place, having obtained eternal redemption for us."
This shows us that the price that secured our redemption and forgiveness is eternal and all-powerful. It is the very blood of the Son of God. May His name be praised. What can be greater or stronger than the blood of Jesus? His blood is timeless and potent. Only the blood of divinity can cleanse the sins of humanity. Since this blood that sets us free, redeemed us, and forgave us is eternal, redemption and forgiveness are eternal. You can be sure that all your sins are totally forgotten. Every other shortcoming of yours is also dealt with by this same blood of Jesus.
As we have seen, the man in Christ is a forgiven man. Forgiven as though he never sinned. He is also a redeemed man. Redeemed as though he was never in bondage to sin and death. His ugly past is totally forgotten and wiped out for he is a new man in Christ. He is God's man. Hallelujah!
