Divine Detours

4 पैकी 4 दिवस

We have reached the final day of this Bible plan. You have probably accepted the detour your life has taken. Perhaps you no longer grow impatient with time. Maybe you have finally left the past behind you and no longer yearn for it. Now what? What do we do next? The answer is in the Bible.

Look to Christ

In the same story of Israel’s detour through the Red Sea, the passage around Edom, we see that God sent venomous snakes among them because they grew impatient and spoke against Him and Moses (Numbers 21:4-7). God then told Moses to create a bronze snake and put it up on a pole. Anyone who was bitten by a snake could look at the bronze snake on the pole and live. Looking at the bronze snake in order to survive a deadly snake bite was an act of faith. God used this to demonstrate to Israel that their eyes must always be set on Him alone.

Although I don’t know the details of the detour you are currently on, I want to encourage you to do one thing: FIX YOUR EYES ON JESUS. No matter the circumstances you may encounter in this life, you should always trust in and look to Christ Jesus. Looking to a bronze snake on a pole for healing required faith on the Israelites’ part. In the same way, we are called to have faith and believe that looking to Jesus and seeking him will lead us to find the answers that our souls long for. In the same way that Moses raised a bronze serpent in the desert, Jesus was raised on the cross 2,000 years ago and died for our sins. All who cry out to Jesus and put their trust in Him will find salvation.

Pray with me: “Jesus, today I fix my eyes on you. I voluntarily choose to leave the past behind, and look to you, recognizing that my salvation and freedom come from You. Jesus, I give you my life and every unexpected detour in my life. I trust that by putting my life in your hands I am saved, and will remain saved. Amen.”

Divine Detours

We have a God who never fails to protect, guide, and save us. The evil that the enemy intended to use against you, God will use for good. In this plan, we will learn what to do when life changes in unexpected ways and how God uses those times.
