Spirit, Soul & Body Part 2नमुना
‘On’ with the New
Reflection
What do you see when you think ‘New’?
What memories do you have of experiencing something for the first time or receiving something new?
Introspection
The conclusion of Jesus becoming sin for us was that new life would become our inheritance through faith and our right-ness with God, not being a matter of attaining and performing to maintain such a status but receiving it freely from him. Doing wrong and not doing right both are to miss the mark and are no longer an option for us. Reverting to the old is not a consequence of our faith level (nor lack of it) but an implication of our temporary body and soul. See for yourself that by dressing up in the person of Jesus every single day, there will be much more victories than a sense of loss. It is not time to think about ‘Out with the old’ anymore, but to realise the old is out, so On with the new!
Your Next Step
Practical action. Go and get your newest item of clothing and put it on. Pay attention to the smells, textures, and feelings that you experience in doing this. This exercise of dressing in your newest item of clothing doesn’t reflect the magnitude or come anywhere near the significance of the new life found in Jesus.
Pause and Pray. Thank Jesus for the new, clean, fragrant, everlasting life that he replaced when he took the old, crucified it so that you had to bear it no more, and rose to new life so that in him you could live new, too. Consider how his completed work has changed the direction of life, liberating you to satisfy things above (of the spirit) rather than things below (carnal/physical).

The following reading plan will take you deeper into the three concepts of Spirit, Soul, and Body at a steady pace, building on the message of Jesus' finished work. It will stretch, challenge, and grow you as his follower. Make sure to allow the Holy Spirit space to work in you and shape you. See the impact for yourself. This is the second of four plans in this series.
