Increase

5 पैकी 2 दिवस

I think that people are wired for production; they like seeing significant results come from even the smallest actions.

If we want to increase our transition from what we’ve done to what we’re capable of, we have to find a way to ramp up our productivity. The Bible says that we plant the seed and we water the seed, but it is God who brings increase. If we work the land and take the steps necessary for growth to take place, then God handles the rest! He creates that spark of life. That action that the seed must take. It splits open, and from out of it comes something new. Something fresh.

He creates life.

Not to then ruin it.

Not to sprout tainted fruit.

But He blesses this seed with all it needs to become something greater.

Have you ever wondered how an acorn can contain something as great as an oak tree?

There is no other explanation for this increase.

This small pebble held within our hands can become a tree that stands the test of time. A tree that gives oxygen to the world and provides a home for generations of animals. The God of increase carries the promise of a divine dimension in any of our labors. Because we were tilling the soil, God has blessed us with this great thing!

In 1 Corinthians 3:6-7, Paul states, “I planted, Apollos watered, but God gave the increase. So neither he who plants anything, nor he who waters, but God who gives the increase.”

Notice where Paul’s hope and confidence lies: within the God who gave the increase! A true, biblical understanding of increase will not lead to a selfish agenda that’s all about myself and my needs or wants. It puts the focus on where it needs to be, on God. On His power, and on His kingdom.

Water your seeds. Continue to till the soil, but understand that God has the final word.

And His word today is INCREASE.
