Day Six - Find your confidence in Him!

Yesterday, we looked at the authority that we have in Jesus. We learnt that when we operate in this, we can take a stand against fear, against worry and against all anxious thoughts because He makes us brave!

Read Jesus walks on Water (Beginners Bible pg.364-371 / Matthew 14:22-33).

Our confidence is rooted in God!  In our Bible Story we read how when Peter took his eyes off Jesus and began to focus on the things around him, he lost confidence and began to sink. This is a reminder to us to find our security and confidence in God, remembering the identity that He has given us, rather than finding our identity and confidence in the things of this world. 

Remember that you are a son or daughter of God and that you can overcome anything! Activate the confidence that you have in Him! 

ASK:

Where are you living out in worldly confidence rather than the confidence that God gives you? 

 REMEMBER:

Our memory verse for this series, 2 Timothy 1:7, says that "For God has not given us a spirit of fear or timidity, but of power and of love and of a sound mind." This means that we don’t have to be afraid of anything! God is with you all the time, and He loves and cares for you so much!

FEARBUSTER PRAYER:

You are bigger than my fears, you wipe away my tears. I have a voice to pray, you teach me what to say. I am brave because of You! We tell our fear to quit, we've had enough of it!
