Men and women alike tend to forget what they have in their spouse after years of being with them. It seems to be the motivation behind this passage - Solomon reminding us that the wife we found was a great thing and was brought about by the favor of the Lord. Sadly, 30-60% of marriages will experience infidelity at some point - perhaps because we've forgotten the great thing we have. Take time today to be thankful to God and to your spouse for the gift you have in them.
