is for Overwhelmed

The laundry is piled up, the baby is crying, you haven't showered in 2 days, or is it 3 days? Your clothes smell like baby spit-up, you can't remember the last time you a normal meal, and getting a moment to go to the bathroom is a major accomplishment!

If you are feeling overwhelmed, you are not alone! Being overwhelmed is an emotional state that we all find ourselves in. The ever increasing to-do list isn’t even the worst of it. Sometimes you can’t even see the list because it is surrounding you on all sides and burying you from above. You may have even felt like pulling your head under the covers and not getting up today. But, now the baby is crying … yes you are officially feeling overwhelmed!

Praise be to God--God is not overwhelmed. He is never short on patience, power, or peace. Everything that seems so overwhelming and consuming to you is infinitesimal to Him. But, He knows how you feel! He knows that what is nothing to Him seems impossible to you. Well, without Him it is impossible!

But with God all things, including all of our things, are possible! He does have the whole world in His hands--which includes yours too.

So instead of being overwhelmed today be overcome by the love of your heavenly Father an amazing God who loves you with an everlasting love. The Father who always keeps His promises. Since He has called you to care for your precious baby, He will equip you for the task, He will be with you along the way. He is the God who provides.
