The Work Of Christ Within YouЗагвар
Do You See Yourself this Way?
I have been crucified with Christ. It is no longer I who live, but Christ who lives in me. And the life I now live in the flesh I live by faith in the Son of God, who loved me and gave himself for me.
Is this the way you see yourself? Read these four statements as referring to you: I have been crucified with Christ. It is no longer I who live. Christ lives in me. Christ loved me and gave Himself for me.
If you have trusted Christ as Savior, these four things are true of you. You have been crucified with Christ. No, you did not physically hang on a cross. No, you did not experience the searing physical pain. But nonetheless, in a spiritual sense, you were crucified with Christ. The old you died and cleared the way for you to become a new person. That’s you: a new creation.
Moreover, you no longer live. It’s not about you; you are not the point of your life. You’re not the hero. It’s not your strength or power that matters. Your life is not about your dreams, your wants, your fulfillment, your comfort, or your happiness. You no longer live.
Rather, your life is Christ. He lives in you and through you. He is your strength and power. He is the point of everything. He is the hero. You belong to Him and He is closer than close. He is not distant; He is in you and lives in you. It is all about Jesus.
You live by faith in the Son of God, who loved you and gave Himself for you. It’s not just that Jesus is loving, loves people in general, and loves people like Paul, John, Mother Teresa, and Billy Graham. It’s more than that. Jesus loves you. He loves you personally, intimately, emotionally, and intensely. You!
Do you see yourself this way? Dear friend, it is so vital that you see yourself this way. This is who you are.
