HONOR

Honor. A virtue much needed for worship.

We worship a living God, and in finding His will in our lives, we should honor His word.

In a typical day, we complete numerous tasks and go through several routines that we tend to take for granted who we can worship God most especially in those times. Training ourselves to have the presence of mind to honor God in every detail will make a world of difference in our decision-making and in the way we react to situations.

Being kind, considerate and patient to an officemate is an act of worship.

Being courteous is an act of worship.

A word of encouragement to a friend is an act of worship.

Honoring our parents in obedience to God’s commandment with no apprehension or condition is an act of worship.

We honor God when we do all these to portray the Spirit of God within us; to testify of His love and mercy.

We should also honor Him when He answers our prayers – when it’s with a “yes” and most especially when it’s with a “wait” or a “no.” When we honor His answer, we are in its very purpose, worshipping Him.
