RECEIVING THE TASKS OF MY DAY WITH GOD

Throughout this study, we’re learning to meet God in everything we do. He’s Immanuel. He’s with us.

That means with every action we take, God is there, too.

When you start to invite God in on the little things (like combing your hair, doing the dishes, taking a walk, cracking an egg), it may feel a little strange. Yes, you may feel silly, but you’ll start to notice something: God’s there. He’s been with you the whole time.

Amazingly, not only is God with us, God actually cares to be with us.The small things matter to Him. After all (to state the obvious?) He created everything. Of course He wants to experience them together!

Sometimes, all we really need is to be still and to meet God in our everyday lives. Notice Him. Through the waiting, through the silence, through the Monday-Friday, through the rhythmic seasons of life, God is with us.
