Before You Have To

Key Thought

The Chronicles Of Narnia, inspired by CS Lewis, has an amazing scene when the witch comes into the camp of Aslan. One of the sons of Adam had a moment of rebellion, and so the witch has come to take her rightful claim of the boy, and destroy him. Everyone is shocked that the witch now is legal guardian of the boy, because of his rebellion. Aslan asks to meet with the witch in his tent. My favourite scene of the entire movie is when they exit the tent.

The witch asks Aslan, in front of the entire community, "How do I know you will keep your end of the bargain?" Aslan simply roars, and the witch instantly falls to the ground on her knees in reverence!

There is a passage in the bible that describes the majesty of King Jesus. That at His Name, every knee will bow, and every tongue will confess, that He is Lord, to the glory of God the Father. It really doesn't matter what you believe about God, or the bible or anything else, for that matter.

One day, every single human being will come face to face with the Lord Jesus Christ. In that moment, your understanding will fail you, your activity will condemn you, and no person will be able to defend you.

Every person will one day acknowledge that Jesus Christ is God, but for many on that day, it will be too late.

Why not change before we have to!

Time To Think

Is Jesus Christ the Lord of my life?
Are there any areas of my life I should change before I have to?

Prayer

Father, You are the everlasting God. Your Name is above every other name. Thank you that salvation is found in no other name, but the name of Jesus. I want to be more like You. Help me change before I have to. Amen.
