4 Reminders of Who You Are in ChristПримерок
For the longest time I believed that my past disqualified me from being useful by God and that my past sins were too big to be covered by the blood. I know now that those were lies from the enemy trying to keep me from walking in purpose.
Maybe you can relate to that. Or maybe for you, you don’t believe you have the skills or aptitude to be useful for the kingdom. But friend, nothing could be farther from the truth.
The Lord delights in taking broken things and restoring them for kingdom purpose.
Look at some of the great heroes of the Bible. David was a shepherd turned giant slayer turned adulterer, and yet is described as a man after God’s own heart (1 Samuel 13:14).
Consider Paul. Paul was a man actively persecuting and murdering followers of Jesus transformed to be the leading apostle to bring the gospel of Christ to the gentiles! ((Acts 9:15).
It can be easy to feel small and inconsequential especially when we are wading through the day-to-day mundane tasks. Yet God has a purpose and a plan for each and every one of us—no matter our past or present. He has uniquely equipped each of us with gifts, talents, and experiences to carry out his plans and to use you to point others to Christ.
Affirmation: I am planned with purpose.
Prayer: Dear Lord, thank you that you have created me with purpose. I surrender all my gifts and talents and experiences to you to be used for your glory! Help me not to believe the lies from the enemy, but cling to YOUR truth—that I was made for such a time as this. Give me the courage and boldness to step out in faith where you are calling me. Amen.
