DAY 3 - PRAISE ‘TIL I'VE GOT NOTHING LEFT

I once heard it said that as believers, worship is our weapon. I remember the first moment that I truly understood what worship was. I was in the fifth grade at a church summer camp. I remember very clearly as we began to sing the words of a song by Chris Tomlin called ‘Our God.’ It was in that moment that I found, and I saw, the greatness of who God is. I felt God for the first time in my life and who He is, became so real, and so evident.

You see, the beautiful thing about worship is that it takes our eyes off of ourselves and it focuses our attention back on God. It can be so easy as humans for us to stay in our patterns of doubt, to have a lack of faith, and to harbor bitterness, but worship helps to erase the lies of the enemy and it speaks truth over our situations.

As I was writing the song, Source of Life, I knew that the lyrics needed to be a reminder for me to praise God through the storm until I’ve got absolutely nothing left. Worship helps us to engage fully with God as we walk out our faith in a relationship with Him. He is worth every ounce of energy we have.

So whatever you’re walking through today, praise till you have nothing left...no matter what darkness may come your way. Increase your praise and your worship and watch your peace and joy increase as well!

PRAYER: "Dear God, I surrender all to you. I ask that you would fill me up in a new and fresh way today with YOUR spirit. I declare that I will praise you until I’ve got nothing left, and I will trust you to fill my lungs when they are empty. Amen."

I hope that you are filled with a confident hope as you have joined me on this three-day journey. I pray that you are strengthened by knowing all that God is and that you don’t have to walk alone through life’s struggles. As God walks with you He wants to fill you with HIS strength. He wants to be your SOURCE OF LIFE.
