2 DIENA NO 5

Day 2: Unlocking Spiritual Laws

Title: Faith's Creative Authority

Key Scripture: Romans 10:17 - "So then faith comes by hearing, and hearing by the word of God."

It was late in the day, and I had just finished a meeting with a prospective client. I was pumped, and my future client seemed excited.

As I walked to my car from the restaurant, I had a smile on my face. I needed the business, and everything looked like a done deal. I was feeling (hashtag) blessed, ha!

That smile was erased a few days later.

The client changed their mind, and I was back to where I started. I felt dejected and defeated. It was at that moment when I walked to a nearby park by my house and prayed.

I said, “Lord, I need more faith.”

As I muttered this prayer and a bunch of other complaints (trying my best to pray) to the Lord, I felt nudged. I was reminded of this scripture in Romans 10 that says, “Faith comes by hearing.”

In an instant, hundreds of sermons I had heard over the years about faith invaded my mind. It felt like I was getting a download of instructions and reminders from the Holy Spirit. It was incredible.

I absolutely NEEDED more faith, which, according to today’s passage in Romans, meant - I needed to HEAR more of God’s Word.

One of my favorite old-time preachers says it like this, “Faith doesn’t come by reading God’s Word. It comes by HEARING God’s Word.”

Let THAT sink in for a minute; that’s HOT!

One of the greatest things I learned from my dad was watching him and listening to him speak God’s Word every day.

My dad created what he called “confession cards.” He would write or type out selected faith scriptures on 3x5 cards and speak them every single day. (He also did this for every key topic in his life - healing, marriage, finances, peace, and others.)

Do you know how some people are addicted to the gym?

My dad is addicted to speaking God’s Word. I watched my dad walk and talk God’s Word for HUGE chunks of time throughout the day.

Looking back at these moments, I know exactly what my dad was doing. He was BUILDING his faith, amen! He knew if he could put God’s Word in his MOUTH - his faith would be IGNITED.

As I continued my walk around the park - all of these divine downloads came pouring in. I KNEW I needed to begin hearing God’s Word by speaking God’s Word.

I began to study Romans 10:17 in the original text and Greek, and something jumped out at me as it did for my dad.

I now understood why my dad was speaking God’s Word.

It’s because when Romans 10 says, “Hearing the Word of God,” it’s not just talking about you hearing someone preach or you listening to the Bible on audio.

It’s also talking about you speaking God’s Word to build your faith. You don’t need to wait on someone or listen to your audio Bible; you can speak God’s Word anywhere you go.

As I began to speak God’s Word over my business, my faith began to build. That same park where I walked around complaining and “sort of” praying to God became my “Faith Building Park.” It reminded me of when the Israelites marched around Jericho.

I not only was speaking God’s Word, but I was doing it in faith.

My confidence began to build in what the Lord could do. The more I spoke, the greater my faith. The greater my faith, the more I spoke.

The walls of Jericho fell not through brute force but through the power of unified faith-filled words (Joshua 6:1-20).

As you speak God's word aloud, think of each declaration as a march around your 'Jericho.'

Your persistence in faith and declaration will MELT the walls standing before you. Let your words be an anthem of God’s truth, blasting victory in your life.

Before you go, let me drop this thought your way. Many of you know I am a big fan of self-help gurus such as Tony Robbins and Brendon Burchard.

I love those guys because they inspire people. They also educate audiences on THEIR MOUTH and what they call positive affirmations.

Positive affirmations are great, but you know what is even better - speaking God’s promises.

Many people think self-help gurus invented positive self-talk. They did not. God’s Word is the source, and putting it in your mouth is the CREATIVE force you need for the miracles you seek.

When was the last time you consciously spoke God’s Word? If you did, why did you stop?

What are 3 to 4 scriptures you can speak today for your situation?

Stop thinking about it and start SPEAKING it.

Thought-Stirring Questions:

  • How have you experienced the power of spoken faith in your personal or professional life?
  • What scriptures can you start declaring today to see transformation in your areas of need?

Daily Confession:

"My faith is strengthened, and my spirit is uplifted as I declare God’s promises; my words are charged with divine capability."
