Daily Bible Reading—February 2024, God’s Guiding Word: LoveParaugs
Introduction
Psalm 107: Today’s reading speaks of God’s unfailing love by describing God’s saving acts in four instances—coming to the aid of those wandering in the desert, rescuing those suffering in prison, healing the sick and those close to death, and rescuing those in trouble at sea—saving all from their distress. The psalm concludes with a reminder of God’s constant love.
Today’s Key Verse: Psalm 107:43
May those who are wise think about these things; may they consider the LORD’s constant love.
Reflect
Today’s reading recounts several of God’s saving acts. In what ways can telling stories about God’s love and saving acts enhance and strengthen your faith? How can hearing other people’s stories deepen your understanding of God? Note verses 8, 15, 21, and 31. What is the significance of this sentence being repeated four times throughout the psalm? In what ways do you experience God’s constant love, and how will you express your thanks for God’s steadfast love and care today?
Pray
Faithful and loving God, may I remember your constant love for me each day and empower me to proclaim your greatness. Your care for your people is steadfast, and you are present with us in whatever situation we face. Your love is eternal, and I thank and praise you for all the wonderful things you have done. Amen.
