You Are My One Thing

4 DIENA NO 7

Throne Room

Holy, holy, holy, Lord God Almighty over all, you were, you are, and you’ll be forever the King enthroned in glorious splendor, holy, holy Lord.

Picture yourself around the glorious throne of God with all the angels and elders. Would you bow? Would you sing? Would you find yourself overwhelmed by His beauty? Day and night, the angels, elders, and four living creatures gather around the throne of God full of reverence and wonder, pouring out unceasing worship to Him (Revelation 4:4, 7:11).

The four living creatures, angels, and elders do not cry out “holy” incessantly out of obligation—as if God has some control switch that forced them to repeat this to Him over and over again. They utter “holy” around the throne of God as a response to the revelation of His beauty, glory, power, and nature that is unlike anything we could fathom. As God’s children, invited into the presence of God by the blood of Jesus, we have the same opportunity on earth to echo holy praises “to him who loves us and has set us free from our sin by his blood” (Revelation 1:5).

Our gaze can be fixed on our worthy King now, in the same way that the multitude around the throne gazes upon Him. The veil is torn, and we are invited into the throne of God, where we can join all of heaven in unreserved worship offered to Him. The enemy desperately longs for us to feast our eyes on anything other than the throne of God, but do not be distracted. There is only one who is forever worthy of our attention and our affection.

Holy is the Lord God Almighty!

Today, we are invited to enter the throne room of God to behold His glory, splendor, and majesty. Our response can emulate the elders, angels, and living creatures in awe-filled worship. With bowed hearts before our King, we cry, “Holy is the one who was, who is, and is to come.”

How can you worship God in response to His holiness today?
