The Bible for All: How to Pray for Bible Translation

3 DIENA NO 5

Eternal Food

Man does not live on bread alone.

Jesus always had his priorities straight. He knew valuing the Word of God was a higher priority than eating food. The Bible is full of moments that connect God’s Word with food. Think of the prophet Ezekiel, who actually ate a scroll of a portion of the Bible (Ezekiel 3:3)! What did it taste like to him?

It was delicious, like honey!

Psalm 119 is a masterpiece of showing how filling the Word of God truly is. Praying for the work of Bible translation is praying against the spiritual hunger of the Bible-less who are currently starving for God’s Word. Your prayers sustain the work of Bible translation that feeds real spiritual food to millions of people … from generation to generation!

Prayer habit #3: Pray before you eat.

You are likely familiar with the simple yet classic blessing before a meal: “Bless the hands that prepared this meal.” Our devotional today has shown us the figurative and literal ways in which food and the Scriptures are connected. Today, begin the prayer habit before each meal to pray for the “hands” that prepare the “meal” of Bible translation. Before you eat, pray for Bible translators around the world, humble and heroic women and men giving their lives so people can have the Bible in their heart language.
