Giving Everything to God - Abraham and Isaac

Elam tells the curious King Zakar how God tested his master Abraham’s faith.

Then Elam shares that God provided for Abraham and richly rewarded his willingness to follow and obey.

Abraham had a special relationship with God. God promised Abraham that he would make him a great nation with as many offspring as the stars in the sky (Genesis 15:4). Abraham chose to believe God, even though Abraham and his wife Sarah did not have any children yet. (Genesis 17)

Abraham’s decision to follow God’s instructions in faith was a sacrifice of Abraham’s will to God. Though extremely difficult, Abraham desired to follow God’s will and prepared for the sacrifice. God saw Abraham’s faith, provided a ram, and sent an angel to remind them of his covenant.
