The beauty of our old self “dying” once Jesus becomes our Savior is in that death, our new life comes from Him also. Our lives are “hidden” in Him. We cannot be “risen” with Him until we have “died” with Him. Have we given up everything to follow Him? Have we counted the cost? What does it mean to have our lives hidden in Him? We are not afraid and not ashamed to share His story because we know what is in store for us: His Eternal Promise. Believers around the world are not ashamed even though being bold for Christ means something more serious than being labeled “weird.”

Osama left one of the most powerful and merciless terrorist groups in his country because God’s Word pierced his heart. Osama came to recognize that Jesus died for his eternal soul and that everything he had been pursuing, power and rank, would amount to nothing after he left this life. He never denied his Savior even when that meant facing brutal torture at the hands of his former colleagues and a firing squad. He hid his life in Christ.
