“Perseverance”

“Let us run with endurance the race that is set before us.” We often hear “finish strong”-- that starting the race isn’t everything. The race before us should be filled with perseverance, much fruit, and good stories.

Most people forget what is written right before the part where it says that we should run the race. It says to lay aside every weight and sin which clings so closely. Before you can fully run, you need to get rid of sin.

What is it that clings so closely? It can be the past which holds you back, not that God would remind you of it, or you not accepting that he will forgive you if you ask him to.

How do you normally run a race? You prepare yourself. You check out the way, buy food and drinks, and you train. This is what you need to do for the race with God. God knows the way. He will tell you where to go. You must only listen. And don’t forget to eat and drink. John 4:14.

Lettering text: Let us run with endurance the race that is set before us.
