To Whom Shall We Go?
In John 6, Jesus teaches on the importance of 'feeding' on Jesus - living a life in relationship with him, believing in him as the Messiah, being obedient to his teaching. Many of those following him were not willing to accept this teaching and some stopped following Jesus. Then Jesus asks his close disciples - you do not want to leave me too do you? And Simon Peter answers - to whom else can we go. It is so true - Jesus is the way, the truth and the life - it is only in him that we have eternal life.
Prayer: Heavenly Father, we thank you that you have opened our spiritual eyes and we know that you have the words of eternal life and we have come to put our faith and trust in you. We pray Lord, that this knowledge of you will be accompanied by a life of obedience and worship of you. In Jesus' Name, Amen.
