Day 2: Worship “The God Who Sees Me”
“Our Father in heaven, hallowed be your name.”
In the Lord’s Prayer, Jesus first turns His followers’ eyes to worship, as we exalt Father God for who He is and what He has done.
He is Almighty God, Sovereign Lord, King of all creation. He invites us to look into the night sky and gaze upon the stars, and to consider their Creator and Sustainer: "Lift up your eyes on high and see: who created these? He who brings out their host by number, calling them all by name; by the greatness of his might and because he is strong in power, not one is missing" (Isaiah 40:26).
He is El Roi (Genesis 16:13), “the God who sees me”—the God who couldn't love us any more or any less. God loves us so much He sent His only Son, Jesus, to live among us and die on the cross for us.
All who have confessed, repented, and trusted in Christ and Christ alone are members of His family, the body of Christ. We are His children, and He is our Father. Praise God!
Prayer Prompts:
- Thank God for who He is, what He does and is doing, and what He will do.
- Pray to God as El Roi, "the God who sees me" day in and day out, who knows exactly where you are physically, spiritually, and emotionally.
- Tell God how grateful you are for His work in your life.

Where is God in all this?” Be encouraged. He still has “good works” for you to do (Ephesians 2:10). Let Jesus guide you through the Lord’s Prayer on your way to getting back on your feet again!
