Coping With Dwindling Finances

7 diena iš 7

You’ve come a long way in seven days. You have seen in God’s Word that he

· Will not abandon you (Psalms 9:10)

· Will keep you safe (Philippians 4:6–7)

· Will hear you if you ask anything of him (1 John 5:14–15)

· Will care for you (1 Peter 5:7)

The answer you need may not have come in the mail during these seven days. God is not limited by your time constraints. As a loving Father he knows your need better than you know it yourself. God is not taken by surprise nor is he wringing his hands. You may not feel quite like running a victory lap, but take hope in the declaration of the psalmist in today’s verse as you focus on God’s care for your needs.

PRAY: God, I trust you and I know that you work all things for my good, so help me hold onto the truth of your love and goodness.

READ: Psalm 71:23

REFLECT: You won’t naturally feel disposed to shout for joy when the struggles of life, especially financial ones, are pushing in against you. Just as an apology can restore a relationship, a “shout for joy” can give you a new perspective and increase your ability to see from God’s perspective.

RESPOND: What could it look like for you to “shout for joy” in the circumstances you face today? How will you thank God for his answer to your need?
