Disciplines Of The Kingdom - Disciple Makers Series #6ಮಾದರಿ
What are your investments?
Jesus is going back to our perspective on resources – on giving.
He has some specific things to add.
1) Your heart is where You put your treasure – put it in heaven.
2) Watch out where your eyes focus. Is it focused on getting things? Then we are filled with darkness. We will not see clearly and we will think what we do is fine when it is leading us astray.
3) Love is digital (1 or 0)! You will love God or Money. It is one or the other. You cannot have it half/half. Giving as Jesus requires will keep our love focused on God.
Giving is a mirror that clearly reflects our heart. What does the mirror on our hearts show?
Time to pray
Father, today I ask that You shine a light on my heart. Then let the mirror show me what is in my heart. Does it reflect the heart of God? Does it show the god of Money on the throne? Today I ask that I see it clearly. I know that I can easily be deceived and need Your light and mirror to show things correctly. I ask that today and all this week, I will give so that my heart has Jesus on the throne. I ask the same for tomorrow, and every day this week. Today, You brought a man in need to me. It was not easy to give to him. Lord, my heart needs a greater picture of Your heart and how to give like You. So every day this week – as people ask, may I have Your heart for them. I ask this in Jesus’ name Amen.

About this Plan
Matthew writes to God’s people and walks them on a journey that will take them from where they are to being Disciple Makers. This is the 6th of 27 devotional plans walking us through the book of Matthew. Jesus describes the three disciplines of His Kingdom rules. The three disciplines of Giving, Praying and Fasting are laid out for us. We also begin the “Do’s and Don’ts” of Kingdom living.
