Stepping Into the Harvest

“Therefore go and make disciples of all nations… I am with you always, to the very end of the age.” — Matthew 28:19-20 NIV

The journey doesn’t end here—it begins. You’ve explored the readiness of the harvest, overcome fears, embraced authenticity, and learned to handle rejection. Now, it’s time to take action. Jesus’ final words to His disciples were clear: “Go and make disciples of all nations”. This command wasn’t just for them—it’s for you. You’ve been called, equipped, and sent by God to share His love and truth with the world.

The task can feel overwhelming, but remember, you’re not alone. Jesus promised, “Surely I am with you always, to the very end of the age” (Matthew 28:20). The Holy Spirit goes before you, preparing hearts and giving you the words to say. Your role is to obey, trusting God with the outcomes.

Picture the people in your life—family, friends, coworkers, or neighbours. These are your mission field. God placed you uniquely in their lives for a reason. Sharing the Gospel isn’t about perfection; it’s about faithfulness. Every conversation, act of kindness, and prayer is a step toward helping others know Him.

This is your commissioning moment. The same Jesus who sent His disciples, is sending you. Don’t wait for perfect circumstances or perfect words. Step into the field, confident in God’s power working through you. As Paul reminds us, “I planted the seed, Apollos watered it, but God has been making it grow” (1 Corinthians 3:6). Trust Him to bring the increase.

Today, commit to take action. Start by praying for one person in your life who needs Jesus. Reach out to them in love—whether through a simple conversation, a loving gesture, or an invitation to learn more about your faith. Write their name down and ask God for opportunities to share His love with them.

Step boldly into the harvest field, knowing you are sent by God. The world is ready, the harvest is plentiful, and the time is now. Go with confidence, trusting that God’s power and presence will guide you every step of the way.

Lord, You have called me to go and make disciples. Give me the courage to step into the harvest field, knowing I am never alone. Use me to share Your love with those who need to hear it, and guide me every step of the way. Amen.
