Protect Your Temple

DAY 4 OF 5

Move your Body

Our bodies are incredible gifts from God, designed with care and purpose. Just as we nurture our spiritual health through prayer, worship, and reading the Word, we are also called to steward our physical health. Maintaining our physical well-being is not just about looking good or feeling fit; it's about honoring the Creator who intricately formed us.

As we age, maintaining a healthy lifestyle can be a struggle. Our physical health is often neglected between work, family, and church commitments. We might sometimes skip meals, rely too much on fast food, and rarely find time to exercise. We then find ourselves with constant fatigue and lack of energy that can impact our productivity at work and our ability to effectively serve others and our families.

We have a choice to make: keep doing what we have been doing, which will yield the same result, or decide to make a change. The change does not have to be significant or extreme. You could start incorporating small, manageable habits, like a short walk during a lunch break, into your daily routine. Consistency is key. Regular physical activity strengthens our bodies and minds. Find an exercise routine you enjoy, whether walking, running, playing a sport, or weight training.

Over time, these small changes will make a significant difference. By caring for our physical health, we are enhancing our quality of life and preparing ourselves to serve God and others more effectively. Let us strive to be good stewards of the bodies God has entrusted us, honoring Him in all we do.
