God Did Not Create You by Accident

God meticulously designed you with specific gifts, talents, and passions, each playing a crucial role in His unique purpose for your life. I didn’t always recognize this truth. There was a time when I felt lost and questioned my purpose, waking up each day with a heavy heart and a sense of disconnection. While those around me seemed to have clear paths—pursuing careers, passions, and dreams—I struggled with a sense of aimlessness. I was filled with doubt and wondered if my life would have any meaning at all.

Yet, even in the midst of my confusion, I continued to seek God on my purpose, and He used that time to beautifully draw me closer to Him. Through Psalm 139:13-16, I came to understand that I was His masterpiece, intricately woven together with gifts, talents, and strengths uniquely my own. I was special, and so are you!

Our destinies are written in our book of life; all we need to do is walk every page out with Him. Understanding this gives us hope and the permission to extend grace to ourselves. Our paths will not look like others because our stories are unique.

God wants to help us see ourselves through His eyes. During that time in my life, He led me to write down the things that bring me joy: my strengths, my giftings, my learned skills, and even my weaknesses. Having this on paper really helped me to see how beautifully He had designed me.

Prayer:

Lord, thank You for creating me with a purpose. Help me to see myself as You see me, wonderfully made and designed for a unique calling. Open my eyes to the gifts and talents You have placed within me and guide me as I begin to discover my purpose in You. Guide me as I seek to align my passions and talents with Your will. Amen.

Journal Prompt:

Sit down with a journal and ask God to show you how He has uniquely designed you. Ask the Holy Spirit to highlight your talents, passions, strengths, and weaknesses. Understanding the masterpiece that you are is the first step in your life purpose journey.
