DAY 2 OF 3

Breathe

As we begin to become unstuck, it's important to release the things that no longer serve us. This could be something physical or a mindset that we are holding on to. If it no longer serves us, it only slows us down. We've all been there. Recently, I was cleaning out my closet. Everything I pulled out, I liked. Whether I could fit it or not, I didn't want to get rid of it. Some pieces had sentimental value. Some pieces I got a "good deal" on, and other pieces were comfortable. I started to ask myself, when was the last time I wore these? I hadn't. They've been tucked away in a corner, taking up space, and the truth is, I could no longer fit half of them.

Can you relate? Holding on to something because of sentimental reasons? Something that no longer serves you? Something that is taking up valuable space? That's what happens in your mind when you hold on to worry, guilt, and shame. Worry tells you things won't work out for you. Guilt blames you because it didn't happen the way you had planned. Shame tells you it's your fault. And now, all of that has taken root in your mind. You've tried to push past it, but deep down, you believed those lies to be true. It's time to let that mindset go. We find ourselves holding on, waiting, and hoping, but still, there are no results that push us forward. We become stuck. The longer we stay there, the more life and energy negative thoughts will zap out of us. We're so wound up that we can't think clearly.

Inhale... Exhale... Inhale... Exhale...

Inhale a deep breath, fill your lungs. Imagine every worry, every concern, and every fear in this inhale. Then, slowly exhale it out. Releasing them from your body, releasing them from your mind. Let your cares and worries drift away as you exhale out. When you breathe in and out, it's cleansing and refreshing. It captures what was stressing you and allows you to blow it out like the wind. It says, "OK, God, this, this, and that are worrying or concerning me. I put them all together, and when I exhale, I'm giving them to you."

Inhale again, but this time, don't inhale the same problems again, but now inhale the truth of what God says. He says you are fearfully and wonderfully made. You are the head and not the tail. You are above and not beneath. You are the apple of his eye. You are a masterpiece. You can do all things through Christ, who gives you strength. God is able to do exceedingly abundantly above all that you could ask or think. God has a plan for you. He will never leave you nor forsake you. He hears you when you call. He who has begun a good work in you will complete it. Allow what God says about you to be your focal point.

The second step to becoming unstoppable is breathing. Breathe in what God says and release the rest. You'll feel lighter when you do.

Reflection Question– What old mindsets are you holding on to that you need to release to God today? Exhale all of the negativity and all of the doubt, all of the guilt. As you breathe in and out, in and out, begin to focus on what God says about you.
