We Grow: A Journey of Drawing Closer to Godಮಾದರಿ

Day 191 of 365
James 4 calls us to humility, instructing us to “submit to God” and resist the enemy’s schemes. In 2 Kings 10-12, we see leaders who fail to submit to God’s ways, leading Israel astray. Their actions demonstrate the consequences of pride and self-reliance. But James 4 teaches us that humility is the gateway to grace and power. When we humble ourselves before God, we align ourselves with His purposes and open ourselves to the guidance and strength of the Holy Spirit.
Submission to God isn’t about weakness; it’s about recognizing that His wisdom far surpasses our own. Humility is the key to receiving more of God’s grace, allowing us to walk in His strength rather than our own. The Spirit draws us into a posture of surrender, helping us to lay down our pride and embrace God’s wisdom and direction for our lives.
Today, invite the Holy Spirit to help you walk in humility and submission. Ask Him to reveal any areas where pride may be holding you back from fully trusting in God’s plan. As you humble yourself, may you experience His grace and peace, knowing that God honors those who submit their lives to Him.
