God's Redemption Story (The Church: Part 2)ಮಾದರಿ
James– Day 2
“Faith without works is dead.” This is a statement that has puzzled Christians for centuries. The Bible is abundantly clear that Salvation is by Grace through faith alone, not through works. If this is the case, what is James talking about? How can both of these statements be true?
James is not saying works are a requirement for Salvation. Instead, he is saying Saving Faith in Jesus Christ will move us toward action. When we place our faith in Jesus, we will experience transformation. We will desire to do what is honorable in God’s sight. Genuine Faith will impact how we think, how we feel, and how we act. Good works, then, are not a requirement for Salvation, but a reflection of it.
Today, ask God to strengthen you in His Service. Ask Him to give you the desire to do what is good and the ability to do it.
