I Like Givingಮಾದರಿ
When you hear about the needs of others, what is your first thought? Do you think someone else will do something about it or do you ask how you could help?
Psalm 46 describes God as an “ever-present help in trouble.” Could it be that we, as living stones of God's temple, filled with the Holy Spirit, are able to be an ever-present help to those in trouble?
In the video you are about to watch, you'll meet a family that is helping people in Africa who need clean water, and. . . soccer balls!
Whether the need is life-threatening like clean water or something seemingly trivial like a good soccer ball, helping others brings us joy. As the dad in the video says, “We try our best to, in an authentic way, be people who are grateful, and let our gratitude motivate us.”
When we realize that every good thing we have has been given to us from God, it allows our gratitude to motivate us to bless others. If we realize that God knows our needs and loves to take care of them, it frees us up to consider how we can meet the needs of others. Why not take a minute today to take stock of God's blessings in your life, and consider how you could be a channel of his blessings to other people in any way, large or small.
