The Mended Rib: A 27-Day Devotional for Men Battling Lust and Infidelityಮಾದರಿ
Freedom Through Counseling
Sometimes, breaking free from lust, infidelity, or addiction requires seeking outside help. Counseling is not a sign of weakness—it’s a sign of strength and wisdom. Whether you’re dealing with personal sin, marital conflict, or deep emotional wounds, professional counseling can provide the guidance and tools necessary for real healing. God has gifted certain individuals with the ability to counsel, and seeking their help is a wise step toward growth and restoration. Pride and fear often keep people from getting the support they need, but healing comes when we are willing to confront our struggles with the help of others.
The best decision I made after confessing everything to my wife was signing up for marriage counseling. It gave us both the language to express what we were going through, and it created a safe space for us to work through our emotions. Counseling provided us with practical steps and exercises that supported our healing process.
For me, the greatest gift I could give my wife was a healed version of myself. Counseling became one of the tools God used to make that possible. By addressing our issues with the help of a trained professional, we were able to confront the pain, work through the betrayal, and begin building a healthier relationship. Seeking outside help didn’t weaken me; it empowered me to move forward toward healing and growth.
Challenge
If you’ve been struggling for a long time and haven’t sought counseling, pray about taking that next step. Consider talking to a pastor or finding a Christian counselor who can walk with you through your healing journey.
Prayer
Lord, give me the wisdom and humility to seek help when I need it. Guide me to the right counselor who can help me on the path to healing and freedom. Amen.
