Esther: Becoming a Girl of Purpose

DAY 3 OF 5

Did you see “God” included in the list of those the king asked for advice in verses 13 and 14? I don’t know about you, but that puts up a red flag for me. When we ask for advice, it influences how we feel about our purpose. It doesn’t change our purpose. God created us with a purpose that does not change: to make Him famous. But when we surround ourselves with people who are not seeking God, we forget our purpose and begin to make plans to make ourselves important.

On the other hand, what were King Xerxes’ consultants turning to for their user manual? Let’s look back at Esther 1:13. There are two things it says the counselors knew. What are those two things?

Esther: Becoming a Girl of Purpose
