Pray Your Child Into Purpose Prayer Devotionalಮಾದರಿ
DAY 6: Prayer for A Godly Perspective
Today, I declare concerning you, my child, that you will see as God sees. I pray that the Holy Spirit will be present with you at all times, guiding you into all truth and that your thoughts will align with those of the Father. I ask that your worldview be shaped by God’s perspective, helping you to interpret life’s situations through the lens of His truth and love.
Just as someone wearing sunglasses may misinterpret the brightness of a sunny day as a signal of rain, I pray that any distortion in your vision will be cleared. Lord, perform divine surgery on my child’s eyes so they may see clearly and correctly. It is not enough to see; you must see the right way.
I think of the man in Mark 8:22-25, who initially saw people as trees. Lord, I ask that you fix anything causing my child to see life like that. Distorted vision can lead to misinterpretation and misunderstanding of circumstances. I pray that you will help my child to not just observe the world, but to understand it deeply, recognizing truth in every situation.
May my child learn to live in the awareness of who they are in You and who You are. Just as the servant of Elisha was afraid when he saw the army surrounding them, I pray that you will open my child’s eyes to the reality of Your presence and power in their life. Remind them that those who are with them are greater than those who are against them.
Lord, help my child realize that they are never alone and that the awesome power of our God is always with them. I pray they will not feel defeated by the challenges they face but will be filled with courage and hope, seeing the possibilities that lie ahead. May they view obstacles as opportunities to witness Your greatness, trusting in Your plans for their life.
Open their eyes, Lord, to the beauty and purpose You have placed within them and around them. Help them to see clearly the path You have laid out, knowing that they can walk in confidence and assurance, grounded in Your truth.
In Jesus’ name, Amen.
Parenting for Purpose Tip
Encourage your child to develop a habit of prayer and reflection, asking God to help them see situations from His perspective. Share the story of Elisha and his servant to illustrate how God opens our eyes to the truth, especially in challenging circumstances. Help them understand that they can ask God for clarity and insight in any situation they face. Encourage them to seek wise counsel and look for God’s truth in His Word, reminding them that their perspective shapes their reality.
