The Happy Days and the Ones That Aren't

DAY 7 OF 21

Each year you spend in school, your education is built on what you already know. First, you learn the basics, like how to read and write. From there, you learn how to form sentences, which turn into paragraphs, essays, and ten-page papers. This is the process for mastering any subject. It all starts with building a strong foundation.

Well, the same can be said about our relationship with Jesus. The more we know about Him, the more we depend on Him, believe in Him, and trust Him. And the more we do that, our relationship with Him grows. It all starts with the foundation of faith! Eventually, when joy, frustration, boredom, anger, or grief come our way, we can better navigate them standing on the strong foundation of our faith in Jesus.

Today, work on memorizing this verse. Write it down somewhere you’ll see it often. When you come across it, stop and say it aloud. Use it as a prayer, asking God to help you build your foundation of faith and grow your relationship with Jesus every day.
