The Goodness of God’s Forgiveness

For you, O Lord, are good and forgiving, abounding in steadfast love to all who call upon you. Psalm 86:5 (ESV).

God’s goodness is demonstrated in His readiness to forgive and in the abundance of His love for all who seek Him. His forgiveness is not limited or grudging but flows freely from His infinite goodness. When we call upon Him, we can be confident that His response will always be one of mercy, love, and restoration.
