Acts 1:1-11 | God's Power at Workಮಾದರಿ
Before ascending into heaven, Jesus told his disciples: “Do not leave Jerusalem, but wait for the gift my Father promised, which you have heard me speak about. For John baptized in water, but in a few days you will be baptized in the Holy Spirit” (Acts 1:4-5).
God’s spirit is the energizing force by which he continues his work. He is God’s power in us. You need the Holy Spirit. Without God’s spirit, there is no church. There is no Christian. There is no power of God among us. Just the futile attempts of feeble people groping and grasping after glimpses of God and kingdoms of their own making.
But Christ gives his spirit. He promises it. And he says you’ll be baptized in him. Imagine, if you can, being plunged deep into the heart of God’s spirit, God’s power, and God’s will. That’s what Jesus gives. The life of a believer is a life immersed in him. Acts will continue to show it.
How is Jesus immersing you in his spirit? How can you immerse in him?
