Growing as a Disciple of Christ in the Church by Being Active in a Small Group

Being involved in a small group within the local church is a powerful way to grow as a disciple of Christ. Small groups provide a supportive environment where believers can study Scripture more deeply, develop meaningful relationships, invite others to experience the love of Christ and engage in ministry together. This holistic approach to discipleship enriches our spiritual journey and strengthens the church community.

In a small group, we have the opportunity to delve deeper into the Bible than we might in a larger setting. We can explore the nuances of Scripture, apply its teachings to our lives, and gain insights from the perspectives of others. Collaborating on service projects and outreach efforts embodies the teachings of Christ and demonstrates His love to the world. Ephesians 4:12 reminds us, “Their responsibility is to equip God’s people to do his work and build up the church, the body of Christ” (NLT).
