The Mystery Revealedಮಾದರಿ
Day 9: Wade Aaron, Founder of Christ’s Reward
Galatians 1-2
These two chapters are solid meat for your spirit and soul. They will satisfy you and cause you to want more of the Word of God in the coming days. I would describe Galatians 1 and 2 in the natural way as the equivalent of a really great steak from a steakhouse. Pause, meditate, and allow your spirit man to be nourished in today's reading.
A person floating on a raft in the ocean close to shore can easily, over time, if they aren't aware, drift out to the ocean's depths. This happens slowly, not all of a sudden. The same happens to many believers. Slowly, over time, you can start to believe and teach a different gospel that isn't focused on the grace of God and faith in Jesus. This happens because of experience in your own Christian walk and what you have heard from other teachers or friends. As described in Galatians 1:6, "I marvel that you are turning away so soon from Him who called you in the grace of Christ to a different gospel." It can become more about man and what we can do to save ourselves through religious actions and behavior. You can see this later in Galatians 2 as Peter slowly adds circumcision to the gospel. We don't want a gospel about man and man's abilities but saturated in the grace of God and faith in the most important man, Jesus Christ.
Paul talks about the gospel in Galatians 1:12, "For I neither received it from man, nor was I taught it, but it came through the revelation of Jesus Christ." A good question to ask yourself is:
Am I only living through a teacher, mentor, podcast, or social media reel revelation of the gospel, or have I allowed the Holy Spirit to bring the revelation of Jesus to me?
Galatians 2:20-21 is a great conclusion to today's reading, and I would meditate on this verse throughout the day and ask myself, "How have you been crucified with Christ?" How can you live by faith in the Son of God?
Prayer: Holy Spirit, bring a deeper revelation of the gospel to me to understand, live out daily, and proclaim.
